We have invited PAX and Sustainalytics to shed light on the topic “Weapons Exclusion”:

PAX will discuss
– how to interpret the different disarmament treaties (including the Convention on Cluster Munitions, the Treaty on the Prohibition on Nuclear Weapons and the Arms Trade Treaty) into practical contract terms (including more discussion of their research methodology)
– how they gather data about the producers of those weapons
– how they decide to not include companies on the lists

Sustainalytics will outline the complexities of researching and assessing company involvement in controversial weapons and present relevant case studies showcasing the importance of a structured and detailed approach. It will also discuss ways to use the Sustainalytics research to inform exclusion policies.

Please note that the aim is that this is a deep-dive event.
